PAYMENT
A 50% non-refundable / non-transferable deposit is payable within 48 hours of your booking being made.
Once proof of payment has been received, we will confirm the artists and e-mail you with confirmation.
Please be aware that we reserve the right to book the artist elsewhere, should payment not be received within 48 hours.
Balance is payable in cash on the day of the party or a bank transfers can be done three days before the event.
Creative Faces deals with SARS directly, so no prior tax deductions by the client is permitted.
CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS
Should you cancel this booking, change the date or time for the artist within 2 weeks of your party date, your deposit will be forfeited. This is not negotiable.
REQUIREMENTS
If the event is held outdoors, please ensure there is a shady and wind-free place for the artist to work in.
If the event is held indoors, please ensure that there is adequate lighting and ventilation.
An electrical outlet is required for the operating of airbrush tattoo equipment.
We appreciate parking close to the event because of the table, chairs and kit to be carried.
PAINTING TIMES
The artist will arrive +- 15minutes ahead of time to setup.
The artist will stop working at the scheduled time.
If additional time is requested and available, it is expected that payment be made in cash at the same rate on the day of the event.
The client agrees to pay the full amount in the event of the artist being used for less time than booked for.
BOOKING TIMES
Please refer to our price list or quotation to make sure you book adequate time to have all relevant guests painted/tattooed.
More time should be added if more guests are expected.
ILLNESS
In case of illness of the artist, every effort will be made to find a suitable replacement artist with the same skill levels.
CLIENTELE
Although face painting is not recommended for children under 2 years, artists will use discretion when deciding whether to paint the child or not. If a child is reluctant to be painted, the artist will either offer a hand/arm painting or decline to paint if the child still refuses, regardless of the wishes of the parent.
Artists reserve the right to refuse to paint any person behaving in an abusive, intoxicated or violent manner.
Artists reserve the right to refuse to paint any inappropriate symbols or suggestive art.
HYGIENE
We adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and use only imported hypo-allergenic professional products that comply with EEC and FDA cosmetic regulations.
To prevent contamination of equipment, artists may refuse to paint any person that suffers from cold sores, conjunctivitis or any apparently infectious skin/conditions.
We only use one sponge per face to prevent cross-contamination.
Good face paints have several anti bacterial properties to reduce the chances of contamination,.
Brushes are regularly rinced and dipped in disinfectant water.
ALLERGIC REACTION
Any cosmetic product can cause an allergic reaction.
When in doubt, it is best to do a patch test on the inside part of your elbow, paint a little bit, let it sit for 30 minutes and wash it off. If the skin looks fine then chances are you won't have an allergic reaction. If you have life threatening allergic reactions it might be best to consult with a doctor first.
REMOVING OUR PRODUCTS
Face paint is easily removed with soap and water. Alternatively gently massage face cream, body lotion/baby oil or make-up remover onto the painted areas, wiping off with tissue paper and then rinsing with water.
Airbrushed and Glitter Tattoos can be removed by rubbing alcohol or baby oil over the tattoo.
LIABILITY STATEMENT
Artists are not liable for allergic reactions to any products used. Children/Adults with skin allergies or sensitive eyes and skin should either not participate or have the artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the event.
Artists are not liable for any injuries that may occur around the artists’ work station.
The client agrees to pay for any damage to the artist’s equipment and/or supplies, caused by pets or guests at the event.
Artists will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property due to any products or techniques used.
Parents and/or care givers remain responsible for the behaviour of their children, while said children are at the artists’ work station.
